It’s so fascinating. I remember one of my mentors shared with our men’s group before he died: “God won’t reveal his plan for me in advance because he knows I would try and finesse the plan”.
Just as I was preparing for transitioning to the next phase of my career toward being a Mental Skills Pickleball coach my Higher Power presented me with opportunities that gave me pause.
I won’t go into all the details here however what I will say is that I am really looking forward to diving into these new opportunities toward positively impacting the culture at three different organizations.
As I was saying to one good friend of mine recently that when I stopped chasing money it somehow tracked me down. My monthly billable will essentially double and that is just a data point rather than a defining point.
What really brings me joy about all of this is the reminder to continually look for opportunities to bring my Gift wholeheartedly to those people and situations that show up on my path. Have the giving be the reward onto itself and be fully present as new possibilities unfold it’s important to know which one’s resonate with me and those that do not.
As I am writing this post it just occurred to me that all of these new opportunities unfolded within 24 hours of delegting leadership of the Weds. drills to Tammy who brings a fresh and invigorating spirit to the process. We thought that the new pickleball pro was going to take it over and as it turns out he will leave it as a member to member offering.
Until I released that responsibility to Tammy I did not realize the amount of mental and emotional bandwidth that I had devoted to that commitment. By letting it go it created space. That space has now been filled with an opportunity to guide the cultivation of a high performance culture with a sister organization of a company I have been coaching for many years.
I just developed a new tool by the way called the four Ps. I used it yesterday to help me rapidly move from a state of anxiety to being intentional and feeling a sense of resolve. For those of you who read this post and are interested in the new tool send me a text.
